Conservation Instruction

The focus of the camp is teaching young men and women the value of conserving the coldwater resources around them.  Men and women who have made conservation their career are brought in to teach and discuss the pertinent issues.  Classes include such topics as the principles of ecology, the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture, wetlands, and environmental law and policy

While classroom time is definitely beneficial, the students will be able to experience the reality of conservation by getting out on the stream.   Participating in macroinvertibrate surveys and analyzing riparian buffers are just a few examples of these hands-on activities
